Counseling Services of Austin (CSOA) formally opened for business on July 1, 2008. Its parent company, Counseling Services of New Orleans, Inc., has provided full-service mental health and marriage and family counseling services to the New Orleans area and the greater Louisiana region since 1997. Having moved his residence to Austin in June of 2007, Asa Sphar Ph.D. continues to oversee Counseling Services of New Orleans while working here at the Austin location. In doing so, he brings 22 years of mental health and marriage and family therapy experience to the area. Our mission has been and will continue be one of providing high quality mental health and marriage and family therapy services at a reasonable cost to the communities that we serve. We are committed to provide these services in a faith sensitive environment that will encourage the health engendering resources provided by the personal faith perspectives of our clients.
